The Prime Minister in waiting did not hesitate to show his support for his favourite steelband on the Savannah stage over the weekend, as he even joined in helping the bp Renegades get on stage.

00:04Renegades during the Pantra and Bego Panorama semifinals as he even
00:08assisted in pushing one section of the steel band on stage. After a breakfast
00:12meeting sponsored by BP at the Energy Conference last week about the issue of
00:17sponsorship for the National Instrument, TV6 News spoke with Minister Young
00:22about his connection with the Renegades.
00:25Jule, I'm glad I took the opportunity to stop and talk to you on this question.
00:30Steel pan is an amazing thing that's why we've made it on National Instrument
00:35right it has finally come to be our National Instrument but the positivity
00:40you get in a pan yard is something that I've experienced now for just about two
00:47and a half decades with Renegades when I came back in 1998 this is the band I
00:51associated with and then now as the MP ten years later this is my but just the
00:56positivity that you get in a pan yard what it does for the young people
01:00provides a safe space. Minister Young said there's teamwork and discipline in
01:04a steel band as he spoke about the discussion about sponsorship of steel
01:10bands. So I am completely in love with this as I was just telling the president
01:14of Pantra and Bego they have my fullest support. At the Panorama semifinals on
01:19Sunday the Prime Minister in waiting posed for photos with soca legend
01:23Marshall Montano and the arranger for BP Renegades in a full show of support for
