The Prime Minister has outlined the role foreign investment is to play in her administration's "Revitalisation Blueprint " for several mega projects throughout Trinidad.

00:17In a post on X on Monday, the Prime Minister also said her administration's revitalization blueprint will diversify the economy and create over 50,000 new jobs for the people of Trinidad and Tobago.
00:32Prime Minister Posada and Works and Infrastructure Minister Jolene John launched the Trinidad and Tobago revitalization blueprint, also called the TNT Global Hub, on November 9th.
00:43On Monday, Prime Minister Posada said on X, she has full confidence in Minister John.
00:48The Prime Minister said each project will incorporate renewable energy technologies, green building standards and inclusive public spaces.
00:56Prime Minister Posada further said of the Trinidad and Tobago revitalization blueprint that, quote, foreign investment will be a vital pillar of this transformation.

01:19An ex-opposition MP and former Finance Minister Colm Inbut questioned how the revitalization blueprint would be funded as he said the government can't pay salaries and allowances on time and hasn't paid suppliers and contractors for months.
01:35Minister John told the media at the launch of the revitalization plan that there are different models of financing, including public, private and government to government, as she said the government is looking as much as possible for private sector participation.
01:50Minister John also said that very soon she would be going on a roadshow to the Middle East.
01:55Opposition MP Brian Manning said the UNC government's blueprint was a return of the Vision 2020 plan of his deceased father, former Prime Minister Patrick Manning.
02:06Minister John was recently quoted in a Sunday Express article as having said that the PNM cannot criticize the UNC government's revitalization plan, so they illogically want to lay claim to it.
02:18Prime Minister PNM said on Exxon Monday that her administration's revitalization program's designs will address long-standing infrastructure challenges from inadequate drainage and persistent traffic congestion to urban sprawl,
02:34while advancing resilience, climate adaptation and smart mobility through multimodal transport systems.
