00:30It was a night to remember, a hat-trick for the Black Rock Tobago band the Katzenjammers
00:43Steel Orchestra, as they placed first in the 2025 National Panorama Medium Conventional
00:49Bands Finals at the parade grounds of the Dwight Yorke Stadium.
00:56Speechless, speechless, speechless, speechless. A trick of Panorama Katzenjammers. We did
01:14what we came to do. Mr Ramsey told members of the media he was happy to keep the medium
01:28band Panorama title in Tobago. It was really, really challenging. You know, yes, we know
01:36what it takes to win a Panorama, right? But this one was special. This one was much, much
01:42better. And, I mean, I love my players. I'm happy to cry. I'm happy to cry because Tobago
01:50has become Panorama is not something easy to do. And within the process is a lot of
01:55sleepless nights, hard work, dedication, everything. Twenty-four hours of music flowing through
02:01your brain is something that you can't really function and focus on your life. It affects
02:07your personal life mentally.
02:19Pan Elder Steel Orchestra placed second with their tune of choice from Lord Nelson,
02:25Me Lover, while there was a tie for third place with NGC Hoover Jorlanders and
02:32the Panbury Steel Orchestra.
02:34So, Dustin, how do you feel about this hat trick for Tobago?
02:38I'm very proud of the work that Katzenjammers has done. And what's interesting is that
02:42tonight the number one and number two arrangers were both from Tobago, which speaks to the
02:48quality of our Pan program on the island and what happens. So, congratulations to Katzenjammers
02:56and all the best to OJ.
02:59I feel very, very excited. I'm happy to see them do this for a third time. Kelsh has been
03:06doing outstanding work over the years. He has been very, very, he's been very hardworking,
03:13very diligent at what he has been doing. And I think it's only talent. Tonight is a testimony
03:19of all the hard work that he has put in. And anybody who said, well, OK, it's an unfair
03:24judgment or anything like that, I think the proof is in the pudding. He has done it a
03:29third time and we are indeed very, very proud.
03:32And for those claiming bias, as Mr. Ramsey is the nephew of Pantrinbago President Beverly
03:38Ramsey Moore, the Chief Secretary Farley Agustin, the Pantrinbago President and Community Development
03:44Minister Shanthak Jo Lewis came out in defense of the judges.
03:48As long as you are in Pantrinbago, you must be a member of a band.
03:52So whether it is this president or any other president or even members of the executive,
03:58do you know that we have members of executive who plays with steel bands and have been adjudicated
04:03on? You know, but, I don't know, Kelsh is an excellent musician and Cats and Jammers
04:09is the band that I belong to and they deserve to win. They deserve to win.
04:13I think it's still an opportunity for Tobegonians to acknowledge, to claim and appreciate that
04:20we have come this far and we are finally at this point of greatness.
04:24In the past when Trinidadian bands have won consecutively, nobody questioned it.
04:29This is our time, this is our turn. We did our homework, we've studied, we've practiced.
04:34The very young came out, the old came out and we've done our work over the years.
04:39And here we have right here in our fold, talented arrangers, talented pan men coming out, doing
04:45their homework over and over. You heard him say sleepless nights and he's putting in the work.
