Campaigners vow to continue the fight to save Max the dog

00:00Max's supporters gathered outside Lisburn and Castlereagh Council buildings this evening

00:07ahead of the Environmental Committee meeting to call for transparency and to call for the

00:13release of Max's independent third-party assessment, the report and the outcome. It

00:21seems like such a basic ask, given the Council were so quick to publicly announce the results

00:27of the prior assessments, that they did not do this for Max's independent third-party

00:32result. It's even more disappointing that the Council issued a statement momentarily

00:37before the demonstration was due to begin. What became clear during the Council meeting

00:44was that the independent assessment report would not be shared with the public nor with

00:50councillors within the Council. In addition, Max's visitations of potential future family

00:58would not be supported by the Council. We'll now look to follow the legal proceedings which

01:05have been lodged today and we won't give up.
