00:01They are your children and they will always be your children.
00:14We found out on the 20th of May that we were pregnant with Malia and I got very sick and had hyperemesis and that was kind of the start of my pregnancy.
00:25But then after that, after getting treated, it pretty much was absolutely fine.
00:30So a couple of days before we found out then, it was the day that we swapped hospital.
00:35So I just went up and had a check up and got my notes all signed over.
00:38That was the Friday.
00:39On the Monday I woke up and I just felt like something was wrong and I can't really explain it.
00:45I just felt strange. I just knew.
00:49I went into the room and the minute she came up on the screen I just knew.
00:53You know, for any mum lying there hearing that, it's just, you don't want to ever hear that, you know.
00:59We went to the Ulster then and I was just in a daze and we met the most amazing midwife, Laura, and she talked us through everything that would happen.
01:08In fact, every midwife in that hospital that were with us that day were absolutely amazing.
01:12And they helped me. They talked me through it. They told me what would happen and each stage of the way they were there.
01:18The bereavement support midwives at the Ulster Hospital were the biggest support to us.
01:23Jacqueline and Susan are actual angels and I don't think any of us would be able to get through what we have without them.
01:31We got told about the Forget-me-not group and when we walked in, it was weird in a sense that you felt comfort from all of those parents in that room.
01:41And it has been our lifeline because those people understand.
01:45We try to do as many things as we can to speak about baby loss and to speak about our children as well.
01:51Don't be scared to talk about it. That's something that I would say.
01:54Lean on those around you, but get the support and the help that you need.
