Dunross Prep took the spotlight at the first edition of the Tridents Aquatics Swim meet. However, they weren't the only team to steal the show at the Center of Excellence Swimming Pool in Macoya.

00:00 The boys 9 and over 25 meter butterfly non-competitive event was split into
00:05 three finals with the top three times across the three heats producing the
00:09 winners. In the end Nikosi Batiste of a point 14 RC school won a swing out of
00:15 heat one in a time of 18.40 seconds. Israel Sutherland who swam in heat 3
00:21 came second overall and Christian McGregor of Bishops Anstey third. Here's
00:26 Batiste on his way to victory.
00:32 Considering that it was a developmental meet fans were pumping their chairs for
00:41 all to finish.

00:48 In the girls 10 and over 100 meter freestyle relay non-competitive event
01:10 Sacred Heart girls taking on San Fernando girls. The girls could swim the
01:16 competition giving them a good chance to sharpen their technique with regards to
01:20 the angle of their wrists entering the water and the lengthy time taken to
01:24 breathe which adds to resistance. The final lap provided a real display of the
01:29 advantages of being economical in the water. San Fernando girls getting the
01:33 better of Sacred Hearts.

01:40 In the mix 10 and over 100 meter freestyle relay point 14 RC came away
01:55 winners over Dunrus Prep. The two teams could not be separated on the first leg
02:00 and the battle in the second leg was perhaps more intense.

02:47 It was that close but point 14 took the win despite the late surge from Dunrus.
02:53 When it comes to awards Wyatt Harrison topped the individual scores in the 8th
02:58 and under division for Sacred Hearts. Meantime Ellen Stone captured the top
03:03 award for the 9 to 10 age group for girls competing for Dunrus Prep. But when
03:07 the results were tallied Dunrus Prep racked up 209 points to win the co-ed
03:14 combined team scores. St. Joseph Boys RC gathered the most points for boys
03:19 combined team scores and the Sacred Heart girls scored 173 points to top
03:25 the combined team scores for girls to cap off the Tridents inaugural swim meet.
