00:00It is clear the DOH vaccination program for toddlers and toddlers has reached far and

00:08Of late, the DOH Center for Health Development seeks to reach a 95% coverage in the Sub-Saharan

00:14Region by first reinforcing its various partnerships with NGOs and LGUs as we hear more from Philippine

00:22Information Agency Sub-Saharan Region's Stephan Patron.

00:28The Department of Health's Center for Health Development in Soksergen is strengthening

00:32its coalition partnership with various sectors of society to reach the national target of

00:37a 95% immunization rate for children ages 0 to 5 years old.

00:42In light of this, the DOH CHD held a coalition meeting this January to discuss issues and

00:48concerns aiming to increase immunization coverage in the region compared to last year.

00:53The purpose of the regional coalition on immunization is really to harness the potentials from the

01:01different sectors of our society to help the DOH in trying to achieve a higher coverage

01:10in terms of immunizing our children.

01:13The coalition plays a crucial role in leveraging the potential of sectoral partners to increase

01:18the immunization coverage for children in Soksergen by 2025.

01:22There are many diseases that can be prevented by immunization.

01:27It is very important so that we can get a 100% population for our children, Filipino

01:34children to get the complete vaccination.

01:38We wanted for them to be involved, especially the fourth-year students on their internship

01:44program that we can involve and to take part in the community.

01:49The DOH also sought for parents' or guardians' cooperation, advising them to visit rural

01:55health units or nearest health facilities in the respective localities, ensuring their

02:00children are immunized and safe from vaccine-preventable diseases.
