00:00The palace has confirmed the appointment of Commodore Andro Val Abayon as the new acting chief of the Presidential Security Command.

00:07According to Presidential Communications Secretary Dave Gomez, Abayon replaces Brigadier General Peter Borgoño,

00:14who was appointed to the post in March of this year.

00:17Borgoño has reportedly been assigned as acting division commander of the 8th Infantry Division of the Philippine Army.

00:23The PSC is an elite unit tasked with providing security and escorts for the president of the Philippines,

00:30his family, former presidents and visiting heads of state.
