00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. held an active six-week meeting last week.

00:05Let's go back to the story of Kenneth Paciente of PTV.

00:11President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. signed a binding term sheet

00:16between Synergy Grid and Development Philippines, Inc. and Maharlika Investment Corporation.

00:22The agreement is that the M.I.C. will get 20% of the S.G.P. by the government

00:29to have a share in National Grid Corporation of the Philippines or NGCP.

00:34The M.I.C., which is responsible for governing the Sovereign Wealth Fund of the Philippines,

00:39will invest in the preferred shares of the S.G.P. which have 40.2% ownership of the NGCP.

00:46The two board seats in the M.I.C., S.G.P. and NGCP will be given in accordance with the agreement.

00:52According to the M.I.C., this investment is to protect the supply of national electricity

00:57and the continuous existence of reliable and affordable electricity for each Filipino.

01:03On Tuesday, the President helped the Department of National Defense and other Cabinet members

01:08as well as the Department of Finance, Department of Budget and Management,

01:12Presidential Communications Office, Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs,

01:18Frederick Goh, and other government officials.

01:21The Executive Board of the JobStreetCareerCon 2025 also attended

01:25and opened thousands of job opportunities for Filipinos on the day of the Chinese New Year.

01:31At the same time, the President also stated that such initiatives are only part of the assistance

01:37of the government and private sector to lower the unemployment rate in the country.

01:43On Thursday, the President held a series of activities in the province of Cebu.

01:48As part of the 20th National Convention of Lawyers organized by the Integrated Bar of the Philippines,

01:54the Executive Board assigned the important role of legal professionals

01:58in strengthening the justice system in the country.

02:02He also assigned the responsibility of these people to be fair and adapt to the changing times.

02:08The Executive Board also participated in the gathering led by all the governors in Visayas.

02:13The President emphasized the importance of the assistance of the local and national government for the development.

02:19Again, the Chief Executive assigned the commitment of the government

02:23to support the major infrastructure projects in the province of Cebu

02:27to strengthen connectivity as well as economic activities in the area.

02:32The President also led the inauguration of the Mactan-Cebu International Airport Parallel Runway in Lapu-Lapu City.

02:39According to the President, the 2.56-kilometer infrastructure project was designed

02:44to meet the increasing traffic demand and accommodate many passengers as well as cargo.

02:50The President added that this project is part of a broader vision to improve the infrastructure in the country.

02:57He also led the meeting with the Regional Development Council of Central Visayas.

03:02This is where the main infrastructure initiatives related to transportation and urban connectivity are discussed.

03:09This Friday, the President received a farewell call from the outgoing United Nations Resident Coordinator

03:15and Humanitarian Coordinator in the Philippines, Gustavo Gonzalez.

03:19The President acknowledged Gonzalez's contributions to strengthen the relationship between the Philippines and the UN,

03:25especially in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic and its support to the Moro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

03:32The President also greeted more than 600 graduates of the Development Academy of the Philippines

03:38while asking them to be the pioneers in transparency and good service for the well-being of the people.

03:47He also encouraged them to join the government for faster services,

03:52opening the red tape and improving the bureaucratic processes.

03:56The Philippine Federal Party was once again helped by the Executive Board

04:01before the formal start of the campaign period for the 2025 City Council.

04:06As the National Chairman of the party, the President again reminded the members of the PFP

04:11to remain focused on the goal of bringing change to the country and to the lives of Filipinos.
