00:00Nostalgia is a huge part of what makes this time of year feel so magical. The sound of
00:06festive tunes playing on the radio, the taste of your first buttery mince pie of the season and
00:11the sight of fairy lights twinkling on the tree. With that in mind, what are your favourite
00:17Christmas traditions? It's the atmosphere. Atmosphere, I think, yeah, because I've got
00:23a husband who's got a humbug, so he's not allowed to be. I like to watch a lot of movies
00:30at Christmas. Being around family, yeah, just, yeah, just enjoy being around family. I like to
00:36watch the new Doctor Who every Christmas day. The Christmas thing is not really what I like,
00:42but because it's a time where family come together, right, and you don't have that time
00:49all the time in a year, so that's what makes the Christmas special for me. Probably Christmas
00:54dinner with all the family, yeah, just because we all get together, yeah. It's just, it's like
01:01the process, isn't it, you know, from early morning, get it in the oven, have a little glass,
01:08then the starter comes up and then you think Christmas has started, you know. Like for me
01:14alone, I would just move on, like, it's like every other day, but because it's a time family
01:20come together, where people share love and you don't really get to work as much because it's just
01:25a holiday and all that and, you know, it's just family for me. For many, coming to a Christmas
01:30market here in Liverpool or elsewhere has become a yearly tradition. With Christmas attractions
01:35open across the city, Liverpool's recorded higher visitor numbers so far compared with 2023. The
01:41data comes from a Liverpool bid company who fund 80% of Christmas lights in the city centre.
01:45The 1st of December saw 223,422 visit the city centre, an increase of 20.3% last year,
01:53which also saw the Santa Dash, the annual festive race of Santas in the city.
