00:07with people i guess my best advice is no know what it is you want to get out of your christmas if you
00:13want to have a house full and you want to get everybody together but lots and lots of people

00:51remember as kids making us feel safe and special and joyful at christmas time um we kind of want

01:56world war before that most families served beef or goose with turkey reserved for the wealthy a detail
02:02that gives scrooge's gift of a turkey at the end of a christmas carol added significance wider access to
02:09fridges and lower prices eventually made turkeys the nation's favorite and finally santa claus the modern
02:16figure traces back to saint nicholas a fourth century monk from the region of modern day turkey celebrated
02:23for his generosity and gift giving a legacy that spread across europe and eventually shaped the santa we
02:29highlighted this as a kind of a light that we know today
