00:23Company Limited. According to Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Sport and
00:28Community Development, Floret Clark, women remain an underutilized resource
00:33on the labor front and in times past they faced several challenges including
00:38a lack of skills training, finances and markets. At the heart of the Boss Lady
00:44project was a comprehensive training program. The program offered a range of
00:51educational modules aimed at developing both practical skills and the mindset
00:57conducive to entrepreneurial success. These included life skills training
01:04where we empowered women with personal development skills including leadership,
01:11communication, time management and financial literacy. Skills training was
01:17done in several areas including deco, event management, costume design, makeup
01:22and beauty. The entrepreneurial symposium held on Wednesday is intended
01:27to take the entrepreneurs to another level. We serve as a key platform for
01:34knowledge sharing, networking and capacity building. This symposium offers
01:40a space for you to connect with like-minded entrepreneurs, mentors and
01:47potential investors, thereby fostering collaboration that can amplify your
01:54business. Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Trade Ministry Ava Mahabir Das says
01:59the SheTrades TT Hub under the International Trade Center presently has
02:04over 700 female entrepreneurs. She tells the new entrepreneurs to ensure a high
02:10standard which will position them to compete on the global market. Today's
02:14symposium has been thoughtfully designed to guide you in considering the natural
02:21next steps in your entrepreneurial journey. While many of you may be focused
02:27on establishing and growing your business locally, I want to encourage you
02:32to always think about growth and keep exporting in mind. They've also been
02:38invited to join the SheTrades hub. The symposium provided interactive sessions
