Bristol buses are often a topic for conversation amongst locals. Let's find out what locals
00:07
experience of the Bristol bus system is.
00:10
So the one that comes at five o'clock never arrives and if it does it's late and obviously
00:17
in these cold months it's freezing and we're all shivering over here we are and I used
00:21
to catch the Ys as well so the decimation of the Y to through down end was really hard
00:27
because that was where my school was and yeah so all the cancellations and the change
00:33
in the throughs was like oh my gosh what am I going to do with my life.
00:37
It's been a sour relationship I guess because there's I mean the service is very good but
00:43
the waiting times usually get quite long especially now in winter it's like hard to wait outside
00:48
right so that's about it the waiting times are hard.
00:53
First I'm from London so I'm used to buses being really regular so I would say they're
00:59
not as regular as in London but they're good they get around to a good amount of places
01:05
so I feel like there's always a bus to get it's just if you miss it then you're going
01:10
to be waiting a while for the next one.
01:12
I'm actually doing my essay on it in a couple days I think there definitely needs to be
01:17
reduced fares because 20p less than a normal adult ticket for students is not enough.
01:24
First Bus is looking to transition to carbon neutral transport solutions by creating electric
01:29
buses to be used around the city but what do locals think of this idea?
01:36
I think it's good as long as people are able to utilise buses to reduce their CO2 emissions
01:41
I think that's great.
01:44
I guess that's pretty nice especially because city noise I guess will be reduced a little
01:51
bit and that will be helpful.
01:55
It's great yeah all buses should be electric.
