Bristolians Answer: What should be done to revitalise your high street in 2025?

Many high streets across the city of Bristol have empty units as local businesses struggle due to the cost of living crisis.

00:00It's regarding, I think, luckily this shop got the outside, like, kind of display.

00:10In that case, the customers while walking also, even the kids, if they allow that, like,

00:15blueberries, raspberries kind of things, they, like, pop up.

00:19So that will be helpful for high street shops, I think.

00:23Going back to last summer, we had a council rep come through, come round here, complaining

00:30about the state of all the bins.

00:32And that's why all our bins are inside now, and we've had to have smaller bins because

00:35we couldn't bring them in.

00:37So they were saying they've had complaints from neighbours that it looks unsightly.

00:42Cut out all these takeaway and cafes, only have one or two of them.

00:47I mean, they're taking over everything, you know what I mean?

00:50Most of the customers love that fresh fruits and vegetables.

00:54So because of the outside display, I think they are still, like, love to come to this shop.
