00:00With children's books and young adult novels in the lineup, Ayana KSL John says
00:06there's something for everyone who loves a good story and wholesome drama.
00:11So there's a series called The Adventures of Duchess, which is about basically animals and living with their human family.
00:18So it's basically the adventure, you know, they all just share, being kind, and you know, just things that happen in their life.
00:25As well as, there's a series that is called The Unmasked Secrets, which is teenagers becoming young adults,
00:32and you know, the different kind of obstacles we face, and the obstacles we don't face, but just,
00:39they just get themselves into trouble, and just getting out of it, you know.
00:43And children on the move were inspired by God to write, so everything that I wrote in that book was literally downloaded from God that I put in the book.
00:51John made literary history with the publishing of 10 books at once.
00:55She credits family, friends, and supporters for bringing her to this point in her journey.
01:01But the devout Christian was sure to note that above all, God deserves the praise.
01:06And what would be the common theme across all the novels you would say would be about having faith in God?
01:11Yes, having faith in God and love. I'm not just talking about romantic love, I'm talking about brotherly, I'm talking about family love,
01:17I'm just talking about love in general. And another thing too, which is a common theme,
01:22do not allow your past to dictate your future. Don't allow it.
01:26Born and raised in St. Bob's Laventille, John, who started writing at eight years of age,
01:31had the following message for anyone who may be sitting on their calling.
01:35Just do it. Don't allow where you're from, what family you're born into, what the world thinks about you.
01:42Just do what you love, because at the end of the day, what you are passionate about, you will hold on to.
