00:00Hi guys, so are you thinking about creating the perfect Diwali centerpiece
00:05for your welcome table, your dinner table or even your coffee table? Well,
00:10Christopher Deonarine is here with us today and he's going to do a quick demo
00:14with us showing us how you could make that perfect centerpiece with items you
00:19may have even around the house. So Christopher, thank you so much for
00:22joining us but before we get into it, tell us a little bit about the Pet Top
00:27I was looking at a flower shop, I was doing sales there and from working with the
00:31flowers, developed a love for the flowers and that's how I started doing flowers,
00:37getting into it and doing a little bit of deco and that kind of thing. Family
00:41weddings helped a lot, you know, everybody becomes something for a family
00:45wedding, right? So I was the decorator, the florist, the event planner, the coordinator. So that
00:51kind of helped me practice the skills a little bit. Christopher is responsible
00:58for the Diwali decor on the TV set and will demonstrate two centerpieces you
01:04can do on your own. The first one, we need a tree, could be like a waiter or
01:09anything, something flat, about six years or five years rather and you could use
01:15unpainted or decorated cards, whichever one you prefer, right? So this one is
01:22just really, really simple.
01:28Okay, so I have some rose petals. Now you don't have to use rose petals, when I first started doing Diwali decor,
01:37you can find flowers from the arts, like exoara, buttercups, I would shred
01:42those petals and stuff, because it's just to be nice, right? So just whatever you have in your garden, yeah.
01:49So just put all the petals over. And whatever color you like. Whatever color you prefer. Are there any in colors this season?
01:59For Diwali, usually red, yellow, orange. I sometimes get some people requesting
02:10hot pink, but that's just in between. That's beautiful already. Okay, so yeah, so that's it really.
02:18And you just lay the bears out around it. You may have to like move the petals or the flowers around a little bit, just to make sure the bears sit flat.
02:26Sit comfortably, yeah.
02:28And that's it. That's it. And you would just put your oil, your wick, and your wax deer as usual.
02:41Even if you want to use one of the wax deers on top, you can do that too. Sometimes, like if you have like this exoara, smaller flowers, you can even put some on top.
02:52Beautiful. So this is option one. Option one.
03:05And if you have a nice pedestal dish, option two may just be your pick.
03:11You could do this one two ways, right? So you could either just like pour water on it and just rest it here. Or similar to this one.
03:20Put the petals in here. But this one I would recommend for like your dining space or even a cocktail because it's a little bit smaller.
03:31Especially if you have a dish with like a leg or foot, like a fruit bowl. So it doesn't take up as much space and doesn't obstruct like the view and conversation and stuff.
03:41Okay. And you could light this one. You could see this being lit over dinner or just, you know, conversation.
03:48And if you have a dish that's wide enough, you can even put three or four more deers in it.
03:54Yeah. And it doesn't have to just be petals. You can use smaller flowers even if you want to cut up lilies or put lilies around it. Whatever you want to do.
04:02Okay. Excellent. So Chris, thank you so much for sharing with us and I hope our viewers enjoyed it.
04:07And of course, use it to brighten up your Diwali a little more and welcome those guests.
