00:00Hello. A frosty, foggy start to Thursday. Things are turning milder, however, in the
00:05outlook. The bigger picture shows a couple of beautiful swirls of clouds. Nothing too
00:11beautiful about this one, however. That's Storm Connell, which is affecting parts of
00:15northern Europe at the moment. Behind me, there's another big swirl, another area of
00:19low pressure sitting out in the Atlantic. And the U.K. is between those two lows under
00:24the influence of high pressure. This one is going to try and make a bit more progress
00:28towards the U.K., but the fronts are kind of weakening as they approach, just bringing
00:32a little bit of rain through the afternoon to parts of Northern Ireland and a few showers
00:36maybe to parts of West Wales and southwest England. Certainly cloudier in the west, but
00:41it is also turning milder here as the breeze picks up. Elsewhere, we've seen some fog around,
00:46taking its time to clear away and likely to thicken up again quite quickly through this
00:50evening. But a good chunk of England, Scotland, East Wales dry and bright this afternoon with
00:55hazy sunshine. Not warm though, temperatures only four or five degrees after starting well
00:59below freezing for many. But look at this, out west, double digits as the breeze picks
01:04up and that weather system brings in the milder air. That weather system, though, is going
01:09to bring a bit more rain. It will kind of push into western Scotland. So it's only quite
01:12soggy here, actually, for a time this evening and staying quite wet across northern Scotland
01:16throughout the night. But elsewhere, again, most places staying dry. That fog is likely
01:20to thicken up for a time across eastern England. Could be quite dense during this evening.
01:25But as the breeze picks up here, that should also tend to clear it as we go through the
01:29end of the night. So with more of a breeze, more cloud edging in from the west and generally
01:33milder air creeping into not as cold tonight, not as frosty. Maybe the odd pocket here and
01:39there, but temperatures mostly in the east just about staying above freezing and further
01:44west well above freezing as the milder air continues to creep its way in. And that will
01:49continue as we go through Friday. So still pretty chilly, I suspect, tomorrow in the
01:54east, but again, generally here dry and fine, plenty of hazy sunshine, a bit more cloud
01:58further west, a few showers coming into western Scotland and later on, we'll see a bit more
02:03rain coming into Northern Ireland as the weather fronts again make another attempt at pushing
02:08in. And this time they're going to make a bit more progress. So by the end of Friday,
02:12we will see some rain turning up across West Wales, southwest England, so turning a little
02:17damp for Devon and Cornwall. But again, for a good chunk of England's East Wales, much
02:21of eastern Scotland, it's going to be a dry day, a bit more of a breeze, that milder air
02:26making progress, I suspect, still feeling quite cold in these eastern areas, seven or
02:30eight degrees Celsius. But for the west, double digits in some places may even tick up into
02:35the teens. Obviously, it's not going to feel all that pleasant with the rain and the brisk
02:38breeze across parts of western Scotland in particular. Those weather fronts will continue
02:43to make a little bit more progress. So, yeah, we could see some rain on Friday evening across
02:47northwest England, perhaps even into the Midlands, the odd spots turning up also. And they'll
02:52continue to make progress, pushing that area of high pressure further away to the east
02:57and low pressure generally dominating through the weekend. Quite a lot of isobars on the
03:00chart, so quite gusty at times this weekend. Those weather fronts bringing a little bit
03:05of rain, but always the winds coming up from the southwest, which means, yes, it's pretty
03:10cold first thing Thursday morning. But by the time we get through the rest of the weekend
03:16during Friday, we'll see the milder air coming in and then that milder air in place through
03:19the weekend. So, yes, turning much milder for the weekend. Signs of some colder air
03:24perhaps coming back in as we go into the early part of next week. But certainly for the next
03:28few days, those temperatures will be on the rise. Plenty more, as always, across social
03:33media. And if you're not subscribed to our YouTube channel yet, then why not do so now?
