00:12the golfers who were out to show their support in the fight against cancer.
00:16Today we are in the second installment of our charity golf scramble tournament in aid
00:23of cancer.
00:24Yes, it's past October, it's November, but you know, here we are, we're doing good work.
00:29This year we are promoting and we are raising funds for Promise House.
00:36Last year we raised over $12,000 for the Cancer Society of Toronto and we have a leaf there
00:45for those of you who know Cancer Society, they're doing good work.
00:49Today it's Promise House, tomorrow who knows, but what we are here about as golfers, we
00:56are here to promote the awareness that women and our lives matter and that everybody, cancer
01:03awareness, it's not just October, it's every year, every month of the year.
01:09The day though was about golf and there were many winners with Team Birdie Train comprising
01:14Kristen Batiste, Hollis George and Radcliffe Boxill taking top spots, while Sticks and
01:20a Chick claimed second, followed by First Flight.
01:24The best dressed went to the golf fanatics trio of Jacqueline Crawford, Helen Duncan
01:28and Natalie Bishop and former TV6 anchor Gail Rajak walked away with two prizes as part
01:34of the team with the best name and the closest to the pin title.
01:38However, it was all for cancer and they left an important message for all.
01:43I just want to say to all of you out there, please get involved, please get involved.
01:51Cancer awareness is not just about for some of us, it's for all of us and we must get
01:57involved.
