00:00An UMNO leader has mocked Bersatu Supreme Council member Rezwan Yusuf over his proposal

00:08for the three major Malay Muslim parties, UMNO, PAS and Bersatu, to unite.

00:14UMNO Supreme Council member Puat Zarkashi said Rezwan's narrative was stale and that

00:19the former minister was a nobody in Bersatu to be making such a proposal.

00:25Puat said UMNO has had enough of PAS and Bersatu and did not want to repeat its past mistake.

00:32He added that the party is more interested in looking for a politically honest partner

00:36to share power.

00:39On Thursday, Utusan Malaysia quoted Rezwan as saying he would engage UMNO, PAS and Bersatu

00:44leaders with a diplomatic strategy to form a coalition among the three Malay-based parties.

00:52He said this was necessary to strengthen the political standing of the Malays, which

00:56he added had been fragmented by internal conflict.
