Conference centre plan for Hunslet Hall

00:10than £800,000 at auction in 2023, have been submitted to the council.

00:15IQW Developments Ltd is seeking permission to convert the building on Disraeli Terrace

00:20for alcohol-free banqueting and conference use.

00:23The 19th century building used to be Bewley Street Primary School, which closed in 1992

00:29before being used as council offices. A design report said there would be no external alterations

00:34to the red brick building if the project goes ahead.

00:37Internally, there will be small alterations to the layout to allow the building to function

00:42as a conference and banqueting facilities venue.

00:44The building has car parking space for at least 80 vehicles in the former school playground

00:49and a high-ceilinged assembly space with wings on either side housing the classrooms.

00:54If permission is granted, the venue could be opened between 11am and 11.30pm.
