00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World, my name's Theo and today I'm out in the streets of Manchester asking people about crime
00:06And that's because the number of unsolved crimes has gone up massively in the last five to ten years
00:10So we want to know if people still feel safe
00:12Whether they feel less safe than they did and what they want doing about it to make sure that they feel more comfortable out on the streets
00:18Depends where you go I feel
00:21If you go to a certain part of Manchester, I'm sure it's worse than other parts
00:24If you go to a certain part of anywhere in the country, it's worse than other parts, you know what I mean?
00:28Probably no changes for myself
00:29There has been especially lately with more the racially motivated stuff. My fiance is half Indian
00:35So just simple things like her going out with her mates into city centres
00:39Yeah, I found myself a bit worried about that to be honest. I don't know
00:42It just seems like a load of hassle to be like
00:45Okay, or it seems like there are more pressing issues in the world than my 50 quid that got stolen or whatever years ago
00:53When I was back home in Sheffield, I got mugged after a night out
00:55But I didn't go to the police because to be honest, I thought it was pointless
