00:00Initial reports are that around 12 a.m. on Saturday, a grave at the Tura cemetery
00:05was dug up. In one video which is circulating online, someone can be seen
00:10dousing the body of the deceased in what looks like a flammable solution. A photo
00:15taken in daylight, seemingly after the incident, shows the charred remains of a
00:21corpse. Initial but unconfirmed reports suggest that a grave is that of 35-year
00:26old Kevin Shrek Lucas. Lucas and his female companion, Sherryanne Selandi, 37,
00:32were shot dead in their car last Sunday along a road in Sangro Grande, commonly
00:38called Voodoo Highway. Chairman of the Sangro Grande Regional Corporation,
00:42Kenwin Phillips, said he learned of the incident through social media and he
00:47subsequently communicated with a chief executive officer of the corporation
00:52I believe yesterday was the funeral of the guy who would have gone down in Voodoo Highway.
00:58Yesterday I believe was the funeral and the body was digged up last night. The voice in the video
01:07sounds like Venezuelan national. So I don't want to add more. What I was told
01:14is that the TTPS and the Municipal Corporation Police was at the scene and
01:19the body was removed to the mortuary in Sangro Grande. He expressed
01:24concerns about a level of brutality in the country. We were promised a hundred
01:30municipal police officers to do more regular patrols in the corporation
01:36asset. That would be the cemeteries as well too. However, as we speak right now
01:42we are understaffed with officers in the corporation. Our municipal police woke
01:46up to seven o'clock. We do have a 24-hour shift. Lucas, who was well known to police,
01:54was among four shot by gunmen in 2023. That incident claimed the life of six-year-old
02:00Kylie Maloney. Alicia Boucher, TV6 News.
