West Yorkshire Police have launched a murder investigation after the death of a delivery driver in Leeds. Officers were called to reports of a man who was found seriously injured on Heights Drive in Wortley at around ten to seven on Tuesday evening.

00:17They found the victim unconscious with members of the public trying to help him. He was given
00:21emergency treatment by ambulance staff but was pronounced dead at the scene a short time
00:26later.
00:27Initial enquiries suggest the victim, aged in his 40s, had delivered a package before
00:32returning to his van to find a male attempting to steal it.
00:37The silver Ford Transit cargo was then in a collision with two parked cars on Heights
00:42Drive and was driven away before being recovered in Belle Isle a short time later.
00:48Anyone who witnessed any part of the incident or who has any information that could assist
00:52with the investigation has been asked to contact the police online or via 101.
