Detectives investigating the death of a girl in Leeds are now able to formally name her as Chloe Watson Dransfield.

00:00A teenage girl who died after being found seriously injured in Leeds has been formally
00:05named by police as Chloe Watson Dransfield. The 16-year-old from Gormersal was discovered
00:12unconscious on Kennelly Avenue in Osforpe during the early hours of Saturday the 28th of March
00:19and later died in hospital. Officers say she had suffered stab wounds. West Yorkshire police have
00:25now confirmed that three people have been charged with her murder. 18-year-old Kayla Smith, 19-year-old
00:31Archie Rycroft and a 17-year-old boy who cannot be named for legal reasons. An 18-year-old man
00:37arrested on suspicion of murder remains in custody while another two teenagers who were arrested on
00:43suspicion of murder have been released on bail. Chloe's family have paid tribute to her describing
00:48her as loved, full of joy and deeply missed and have asked for privacy at this time. Floral tribute
00:55have been left near the scene where members of the community have gathered to pay their respects.
01:01Police activity has continued in the area with officers and forensic teams carrying out further
01:06inquiries at nearby properties. A senior investigating officer says specially trained officers are supporting
01:13relatives while inquiries remain ongoing. Detectives are continuing to appeal for information from the
01:20public including any mobile phone footage that could assist with the investigation. Police say
01:25even small details could help build a clearer picture of events leading up to the incident.
