Police have arrested 13 people, including a number of Venezuelan nationals and seized illegal items including drugs and a monkey.

00:00Between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. on August 8th police of the Central Division Task
00:05Force conducted an anti-crime operation where they executed searches in areas
00:10within Cuba and Freeport known as drug hotspots. Police say they searched an
00:15abandoned building on Zubran Street, Dow Village, California. There they found and
00:20arrested 10 illegal Venezuelan migrants. Officers also seized 8 grams of cocaine
00:26and a capuchin monkey at that location. The monkey was later handed over to the
00:31Forestry Game Warden officers. Police say they also went to Gregg Street, Balmain
00:36Village, Cuba and searched a 46-year-old man from Moruga. He was found in
00:41possession of 44 grams of cocaine and arrested. Two other men from Cuba were
00:47also arrested for quantities of cocaine found in their possession as well. Police
00:51then proceeded to Junon Street, Extension, California where officers
00:55including those of the canine units searched bushy areas and abandoned
01:00buildings. They say during the search a revolver and two rounds of 0.38 caliber
01:05ammunition were found, seized and taken to the Cuba Police Station. The
01:10Immigration Department was also involved in the exercise.
