Media Group's headquarters on Friday.
00:12
During a discussion, the company highlighted the synergistic potential of the partnership
00:16
with the media holds in heightening the visibility and impact of tourism initiatives.
00:22
Manoharan said the media can play an influential role in promoting travel destinations to boost
00:29
domestic tourism.
00:30
One of the government objective, how do we can support the domestic players to come
00:35
on board.
00:36
That's why I think as Mr Das and our teams will be there to discuss and see how do we
00:42
can focus for the domestic tourism.
00:44
As a matter of fact, during the COVID, domestic tourism is the one supported by the industry
00:51
player.
00:52
Make it all, most of the industry player floating during that period.
00:57
Foreign tourists is equally important but the domestic tourism, we needed to support
01:01
them.
01:02
Without them, it's very difficult for us to survive.
01:05
I'm promoting our people to travel within the country.
01:09
Otherwise, every long weekend, every long queue at the border, Malaysians are traveling,
01:14
going to our neighboring country.
01:17
This is how we wanted to promote lesser known destinations.
01:23
And asking and telling the Malaysians, a lot of product, I mean destinations where
01:28
you can visit within the country.
01:30
He called on media organizations to utilize their reach effectively to showcase Malaysia's
01:36
tourist spots.
01:37
He said partnering with the media is a calculated step towards the rejuvenation of the tourism
01:43
industry and ensuring that domestic travel initiatives have widespread benefits throughout
01:49
the country.
