The Star Karnival Cuti-Cuti Malaysia 2026 began its first roadshow stop in Kuantan with a focus on driving domestic tourism spending across the local economy.

The three-day carnival at East Coast Mall by Tourism Malaysia and Star Media Group brought together travel agencies, hotels, attractions, food operators, craft sellers and other tourism players.

00:01The Star Carnival Chuti Chuti Malaysia
00:042026 kicked off its first roadshow stop in Kuantan,
00:09with a focus on driving domestic tourism spending across the local economy.
00:14The three-day carnival, held at East Coast Mall,
00:17is jointly organised by Tourism Malaysia and Star Media Group.
00:22It brings together travel agencies, hotels, attractions, food operators,
00:28craft sellers and other tourism industry players.
00:32Tourism Malaysia Senior Director of the Domestic and Events Division,
00:36Mohamed Roslan Abdullah, said the roadshow aims to encourage Malaysians
00:40to travel within the country while supporting the wider tourism ecosystem.
00:45We are able to provide a platform that does not only prohibit domestic development,
00:52even though it is a part of the domestic sector.

03:14with 74.7 million domestic visitors recorded, up 7.2% from the same period last year.
03:23The carnival, themed Explore, Experience, Excite, is held in support of Visit Malaysia 2026.
03:30It features 36 vendors and exhibitors representing various tourism segments.

03:41said domestic travellers have become more independent in planning their holidays,
03:46particularly with the rise of online travel platforms.
