There is strength in togetherness. The message.. being echoed by Diego Martin mayor Akeliah Glasgow-Warner.
It came.. as the Borough Corporation recognised several of its burgesses.. for their contributions to the development of the area.

00:00At the inaugural Dago Martin Civic Awards, Mayor Akilah Glasgow Warner said the flourishing
00:06of a borough does not occur in isolation, and the award ceremony was done in recognition
00:12of that.
00:13She praised the Burgesses who have contributed in different ways for the benefit of their
00:17communities and surrounding environments.
00:20We are interconnected, and it is through your collective actions that we build a stronger,
00:28more vibrant region.
00:30According to Glasgow Warner, there is worth and fulfillment in acts of service.
00:35Our awardees have demonstrated this truth in their everyday lives.
00:42They have dedicated their time, energy, and resources to uplift those around them through
00:50education, sports, community work, triumph, adversity, and even love.
00:59She also highlighted that some of those who have served their communities were supported
01:03by their families who also made sacrifices for them.
01:07Glasgow Warner made this call.
01:09Let us also reaffirm our commitment to the values that unite us.
01:15Let us continue to foster a culture of compassion, cooperation, and civic pride.
01:23Together we can achieve great things.
