Gang violence again erupted after a purported gang leader of the Muslim gang was shot and killed by brazen gunman at the St Christopher's Gas Station along Wrightson Road in Port of Spain on Sunday night.

00:00Unsuspecting gas station customers ran for cover last night as the ongoing gang warfare spilled over into the St.
00:07Christopher's gas station along Wrighton Road in Port of Spain just before 8 p.m.
00:11The target was purported gang leader of the John John and Laventille area, Jessen Superville, known by the aliases
00:18Jesse and Robo.
00:21Investigators told TV6 News that Superville had stopped to put gas in his Kia Serato at Pump 7
00:26when a white Hyundai Elantra pulled alongside.
00:30Two men came out of the vehicle, one from the front passenger seat and one from the back seat, and
00:35fired several shots hitting Superville, who later collapsed between the pump and another vehicle on the other side of the pump.
00:42The brazen gunmen, in full sight of scores of customers who ran for safety,
00:46then jumped back into the car and escaped along Wrighton Road.
00:51Scores of bystanders and motorists were parked outside the gas station
00:55moments after the shooting as police cordoned off the area to search for clues.
01:00Senior police sources say they're certain the killing is gang-related, possibly due to an ongoing rivalry in that area.
01:06Sources say that Robo had taken over the role of community leader after Anton Bombay Boni was shot dead in 2021.
