00:00The odds are flat on FanDuel. You'd find the Phillies to win
00:04the division at minus 110 tied with the Braves at minus 110. I
00:08think what everything you've said, Matt, plays into that,
00:11right? The Phillies have a soft schedule. And yes, they are
00:13impacting the fact that their schedule looks soft. But six
00:17games to this point for a team like the Braves, I don't think
00:20it particularly matters. Not to mention the fact that
00:23divisional titles, they mean a little bit more than they used
00:26to. But when it comes to the playoffs, we kind of don't care
00:30all that much.
00:32Yeah, exactly. I mean, sometimes, you know, teams
00:34worry about seeding, and they try to play that game. But it's
00:37not as if they're going to go all out, they're going to push a
00:40guy who might be a little sore, a little dinged up just so they
00:44can get the divisional title, they know they're going to be in
00:46the playoffs. For the most part, that's what matters. They're
00:48going to worry more about setting their rotation up, and
00:51things like that for the postseason. But I will say this,
00:54if you give me flat odds for two teams, and one of them's got
00:57a six game lead, I'm going to take that. So even though I even
01:01if you like the Braves more than the Phillies, well, they don't
01:04have better odds than the Phillies right now. So I think
01:06you know, that's one way to look at it. If you're, if you're the
01:09type that really wants to bet on divisional races in, in May.
01:15Yeah. All right, good stuff there. Any chance that any of
01:17the three other three teams, the Mets, the Marlins, and the
01:20Nationals are not terrible for the rest of the year, any chance
01:23that any of the three of them can break out to at least be an
01:26average team?
01:28I think so. I don't think those teams are terrible, or at least
01:31some of them aren't terrible on paper. Like I said, I mean,
01:34they're in a real tough division, though. And that's
01:36gonna be part of what holds them down. So they might be decent
01:40teams, but you got to play the Phillies, you got to play the
01:42Braves as many times a year as they do. And that's going to
01:45keep holding them down. So are you know, are they going to
01:48really break out and be a threat to either the Braves or the
01:50Phillies? I don't think so. But you know, they're going to give
01:53them a tougher time. You see a team that that many times
01:56throughout the year, and eventually, it starts to wear on
01:58you a little bit.
