00:00 Hello again. Slowly the weather will become less wet, less windy, less cool over the next
00:08 few days. The key word here is slowly because it's another fairly blustery and fairly showery
00:14 start to the day. Some brightness out there, particularly for Scotland through the morning,
00:19 northern England for example, and in between the showers elsewhere, but a lot of cloud
00:24 remains across eastern England, further spells of showery rain feeding in from the North
00:28 Sea. Additional showers turn up for Scotland and Northern Ireland later in the day, whilst
00:32 the showers further south across the country, well they fade away into the afternoon to
00:36 leave some decent sunny spells for the Midlands, for Wales and the South West. It's going to
00:41 be less windy compared with yesterday, but still a bit of a gusty wind out there and
00:47 it's going to feel cool in that wind with temperatures of 11, 12 Celsius typically,
00:53 perhaps up to 15 in the south, 8 or 9 in the far north. And actually as the winds change
00:59 direction to become more northerly into Scotland later on, the snow level lowers so we'll see
01:05 a bit more sleet and snow falling with these showers over the hills and mountains of Scotland.
01:10 The showers will also continue overnight across parts of Northern Ireland into Northern England,
01:15 parts of Wales and the South West. But as the night progresses, lengthy clear spells
01:20 develop, it's going to be less windy on the whole and as a result a frost will form in
01:25 places particularly through sheltered parts of Northern England, southern Scotland for
01:29 example. A chill in the air first thing Wednesday, temperatures typically low single figures,
01:35 but plenty of sunshine first thing so it won't take long for those temperatures to recover
01:39 during the morning. And I think the best chance of sunshine, central and increasingly southern
01:45 parts of the country. But through the morning and into the early afternoon we're going to
01:49 see the cloud build once again and by the afternoon is mostly cloudy. Again, further
01:54 showers coming in, especially northern Scotland, eastern England for example. However, most
02:00 of these showers will be light, they'll be fleeting, moving through quite quickly. And
02:03 apart from some longer spells of light rain moving into Northern Ireland, actually some
02:09 places will stay mostly dry, if rather cloudy and cool with temperatures only at 10 or 11
02:16 Celsius for the vast majority. With that northerly wind it is going to feel on the cool side,
02:21 but later in the day many of the showers and the cloudier spells tend to disappear and
02:27 as a result we're going to see clear spells beginning on Thursday. But with the winds
02:35 still coming from the north, we're going to be seeing another area of low pressure move
02:39 in from that direction to bring some longer spells of rain and showers into Thursday and
02:44 Friday before finally much awaited high pressure moves in from the Atlantic for the weekend.
02:51 Don't expect a heatwave this weekend, it's going to bring a lot of cloud and some cool
02:55 weather with it as well, but at least it will bring mostly dry conditions. And so finally
03:01 things are starting to settle down and that high pressure could last for much of the rest
03:06 of April.
