00:03 Let's move over to the Midwest where Purdue is the favorite.
00:06 But this is a story we've also heard before,
00:08 Jacob where Purdue is the favorite in the NCAA tournament and they get bounced.
00:12 Well, that happened this year, they're plus 175 to come out of the Midwest,
00:16 followed by Tennessee.
00:17 Had a fantastic season right up until the end until they lost in the SEC,
00:21 plus 310, Creighton is 5 to 1.
00:24 I mean, if I told you Kansas was the favorite in the Midwest two months ago,
00:29 you probably would have said, yeah, that's about right.
00:30 But now they're plus 750, the Zags are in this conference in this region too.
00:35 They're 10 to 1, Texas 17 to 1, South Carolina 29 to 1, and then TCU at 32 to 1.
00:42 So, I don't know Jacob, I mean,
00:44 I know there's a lot of people that are gonna back Purdue again coming out of this.
00:47 I don't think I'm gonna be one of them though.
00:50 >> No, I have not entirely given up on Purdue, but Purdue and
00:55 Tennessee being in this bracket as the two highest seeds is interesting to me.
00:59 Because Matt Painter and Rick Barnes, both fantastic coaches,
01:03 they do a great job in the regular season.
01:04 Their teams are always very good.
01:06 They always get to the tournament and they can go on runs.
01:09 We just haven't seen them finish those runs.
01:12 We've seen them tripped up.
01:13 You mentioned Purdue losing to the 16th seed a couple years ago.
01:17 Fairley Dickinson, I believe, was the one to beat them.
01:19 But even in recent years, they just haven't been able to take advantage of
01:23 having Zach Eady, having two great big men.
01:25 And I'm forgetting his name, I think it was Watford was there.
01:29 But there was a lot of winnable games Purdue has had in the tournament
01:34 that they haven't taken advantage of.
01:36 I feel the same way about Rick Barnes' team.
01:38 So, I'm actually gonna back Creighton here because I trust Greg McDermott as a coach.
01:43 He's always gotten the most out of Creighton in these NCAA tournaments.
01:48 And at five to one odds, I think that they could have a nice run to the tournament or
01:52 to the winner of this region.
01:54 Because if Purdue slips up or if Tennessee slips up,
01:57 Creighton all of a sudden becomes the second best team there.
02:00 Kansas and Gonzaga have some tough first round matchups that have to face one
02:04 another if they do advance.
02:05 So, I could see one of them being upset.
02:08 I think McNeese is tough for Gonzaga particularly.
02:11 So, you're looking at Creighton having a pretty good chance to come out of that
02:15 region.
02:16 And even if they play Tennessee, I think they have a chance to win.
02:18 Cuz Ryan Kalkbrenner with that size just offers so much.
02:21 And Baylor and Chyderman has been there a long time.
02:23 So, there's a lot of reasons to like Creighton.
02:26 And at five to one odds, it just seems like a good value bet.
