00:00 La Brea just recently ended. What was the viewer response to this series finale like?
00:04 I mean, I think people liked it. I liked it and I'm a viewer. So I mean that
00:09 You know, I think it was cool
00:12 It's like it ended with the family walking off into the sunset and I think that's kind of what you want
00:16 If you don't know what it is
00:19 It's about a family falling into a sinkhole and going to 10,000 BC and they get split apart
00:24 So then finally being arm-in-arm and being happy I think is like the ideal situation
00:29 so
00:30 I had a happy little scene running into my mom's arms that was mirrored with the beginning of the series. That's fun
00:37 We're here to tick-tock party. Does this feel like a homecoming for you at all?
00:42 Yeah, I mean, you know, I'll always love tick-tock
00:45 I think when I first booked the show
00:48 I was like should I stop posting tick-tocks and then I realized I love it so much
00:54 That I will never stop unless I don't know the house bans it or something, which I would be I would be crying
00:59 But I I plan on doing it forever until I'm like, you know in a walker and I can't move
01:05 I will still be posting tick-tocks
01:07 I feel like you're truly the gold standard of being a tick-tock star and becoming an actual celebrity and a real actor
01:14 What advice would you give to other people who are on tick-tock posting their comedy posting skits sketches who you know?
01:21 Want to be making television shows like you are I mean, I think just what I would say
01:25 Is that like it's not that deep and have fun with it. I think
01:29 The first few times I posted I was like like literally for the first two days
01:34 I was just excited about going viral and I was trying way too hard and
01:37 when I started finding success and having fun is when I just posted whatever I want to have fun with it and
01:43 My video I mean as maybe you've seen my videos are unhinged and a little insane
01:49 And I think it's just cuz it is something I do to have a lot of fun and what's awesome about it
01:54 Is it's just a pure creative outlet and now you can post up to 10 minutes
01:58 Like you can put anything on there my friend put a full short film. It was dramatic
02:04 I was like 10 minutes long on there and you can do that and you know
02:08 It's just like whatever makes your heart sing, you know, it's like happy feet. Oh
02:11 my god, hey, I
02:14 Saw you when I walked in
02:18 Tackle him
02:20 Stop you I
02:22 Feel like I'm always seeing your name in headlines now of new projects that you're working on
02:27 What are you working on that's coming up right now?
02:29 Well, I mean a lot of it I can't talk about because that's just sort of how it works, unfortunately
02:34 But I'm super excited about it. You know, it's it's awesome
02:38 It's bittersweet to be done with LeBron after three years, but it's also really exciting to be starting on new things
02:43 But you'll be seeing a lot more of it coming out soon
02:47 And yeah, I just can't wait. I mean every day I still kind of can't believe I'm lucky enough to be able to do this
02:53 It's honestly and I'm not being like a pretentious dude about this the happiest I ever am
03:00 Camera roll to cut it's just so much fun. And I'm so grateful to be able to do it
03:05 Of course, we're celebrating Oscar nominees tonight who gave your favorite on-screen performance of the year? I mean, it's hard to top Robert Downey jr
03:14 I mean, he's so incredible and Oppenheimer. I thought to be enjoy Randolph was absolutely amazing
03:20 I just mumbled there. I do know how to pronounce her name. I promise she's amazing
03:25 I mean Emma Stone and poor things was so phenomenal Mark Ruffalo to import. I mean, I'm listening so many people
03:32 They were all so fantastic
03:34 Man if I had to pick one
03:40 Maybe maybe Mark Ruffalo and poor things which is like a real, you know
03:45 Maybe not the most common answer, but I just think it was such a transformative
03:50 Performance. I mean that is not at all what I was expecting to see and I think most people feel the same way
03:56 Watching an actor go that far outside what they're known for and just such a character in a world like that is
04:04 Wilds, I mean, he's so amazing
04:06 Which movie are you rooting for for best picture?
04:09 I mean the holdovers was my favorite movie of the year
04:12 I feel like it's not gonna win just based on like the betting markets of it all but I love that movie and
04:18 Everyone in is so good. I love Paul G. Motti. I love Dominic Sessa to be enjoy Randolph. Like I said
04:24 incredible scripts
04:27 The way it was shot was so cool. I mean they really intentionally shot it like a 70s movie rather than like
04:34 Respectively trying to make it look like it was from the past. So I
04:37 Mean that was just an amazing movie. Yeah, that's the kind of movie where it's like I wish they gave that a
04:42 Real big marketing budget and a huge release and everybody could enjoy it
04:47 I'm sure everyone, you know is gonna watch it on streaming and it obviously did well in theaters, but like that movie was so good
04:52 So and finally in the great Barben Heimer debate, which one do you choose Barbie or Oppenheimer? Oh, I
05:00 Mean, I guess this is a red flag, but Oppenheimer
05:03 I just I
05:05 Mean, I love it. My favorite movies are movies with really really good acting and obviously there's incredible acting in Barbie
05:11 But Oppenheimer is like a pure actors movie to me like it's three hours of people talking in rooms, you know
05:17 it's like a play and the performances are insane and
05:21 I mean the scripts is so intricate and detailed and the actors just absolutely feast on it
05:28 So that'd be my choice
05:31 when I saw Oppenheimer in theaters someone got like
05:33 critically injured
05:36 Screening so I kind of a weird experience of that movie
05:39 I was at the Chinese theater watching it in that like 70 millimeter IMAX
05:43 I like got a ticket because I was lucky and
05:45 Literally, they they pulled the lights up because someone was running back to their seat from the bathroom and they wiped out
05:51 And had to be like carded out. I hope she's okay
05:54 That affected my viewing a little bit, but I still loved up
05:59 So on that note, thanks for talking to me. It was so great to finally meet you in person. Oh my god, so great
06:05 Thank you so much
