00:02 For all the changes that we are seeing in college football,
00:06 the expanded 12 team college football playoff next year,
00:10 conference realignment off the wazoo.
00:13 One thing remains consistent, that's Army and that's Navy.
00:17 And it's part of what we love about college football.
00:20 The history is a huge component of it, the present and
00:23 always looking toward the future.
00:25 But the patentry and
00:27 tradition of the Army Navy game is the best of what CFB has to offer.
00:32 Who gets to sing second, who gets to win this matchup.
00:36 And for Army, an added component after pulling off a stutter
00:41 earlier this regular season, handing Air Force, the third service academy,
00:45 its first loss of the year.
00:47 If Army knocks off Navy tomorrow, they win the Commander in Chief's trophy,
00:52 something they have not accomplished in a few seasons.
00:55 The Falcons of Air Force able to win it just a year ago.
01:00 And when you talk about history, that's what we have here in the Army Navy game.
01:05 Just the third ever FBS total under 30 points and it's working its way down.
01:12 It is now 27 and a half live on the FanDuel Sportsbook.
01:16 The only two other games that featured a total sub 30,
01:20 the Iowa Hawkeyes were involved in the final month of the college football
01:24 regular season against Rutgers.
01:26 Iowa won 22 zip, stayed under the regular season finale against
01:30 the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
01:32 The lowest total we have ever seen, 24 and a half.
01:35 Iowa victorious 13 to 10.
01:38 The game stays under.
01:40 And unders have been the story, Donnie, for
01:43 the cadets and the midshipmen in this series history.
01:47 16 consecutive unders entering the 2022 rendition and
01:52 it needed overtime to get to the over.
01:55 Army victorious 2017 in overtime going over a short number of 32 and a half.
02:02 >> The one thing that we do know, neither one of these teams really wants to pass.
02:06 But you take a look at Army averaging just over 100 yards passing per game and
02:10 Navy, the midshipmen, averaging just under 100 yards a game,
02:13 which is always the focal point here of the two offenses.
02:16 Now typically looking in the past for Army, Navy, it seems to me a little bit
02:20 light here that both of these teams averaging right around 200 yards on the ground.
02:23 Usually one of those teams is a little bit higher and increased and
02:26 Navy was actually a competent football for quite some time.
02:29 Under Niyamata Lolo with that offense really cranking up and saying, hey,
02:32 we can actually hang on the big stage here.
02:34 But the question I wanna ask you here is, obviously we focus on the running games.
02:38 If we look at Army on the season, giving up five yards per carry on the ground,
02:43 the Navy midshipmen 3.6 yards per carry on the ground.
02:46 Is that something that you're taking a look at in this football game or
02:49 do we just throw everything out the window in Army, Navy?
