00:00Notre Dame, the number six team, is a two and a half point favorite going into Miami to face the 10th ranked Hurricanes.
00:06I don't think it's a surprise, obviously, that Notre Dame is favored.
00:09But one thing that did catch me off guard a little bit, Bill, is I was looking at betting splits at a particular book.
00:15And I know a lot of people kind of scoff at betting splits saying, you know, they only tell you so much of the story because they don't factor in as line moves.
00:24The splits don't move accordingly.
00:26So you're seeing, you know, you might see a week's worth of splits that don't represent the number that you're sitting at.
00:33All that being said, I am seeing Notre Dame as an overwhelming betting favorite, overwhelming for such a close spread inside a field goal.
00:43Does that surprise you?
00:45Well, I think with the spread being that close, you're just going to go ahead and say, OK, Notre Dame will win a close one.
00:50I do think this game will be close.
00:52I mean, history shows Miami's won the last six home meetings against Notre Dame.
00:56It's a misleading stat because they obviously don't play every year.
01:00They haven't played in Miami since 2017.
01:03But to me, the point stands.
01:05You know, Notre Dame's had a rough history at Miami.
01:08New quarterback, C.J. Carr.
01:11Miami has really good edge rusher in Reuben Bain.
01:13They have good players on both sides of the line.
01:16And then I don't know what we'll get in Carson Beck's debut.
01:19But I look at Notre Dame, I think they've returned enough talent from that national title team last year.
01:24I watched them go into Texas NM and win a game there last year.
01:28I think Jeremiah Love makes enough plays in the running game to get them going.
01:31And I just trust Marcus Freeman a little more.
01:35So to your point, it is going to be a tight game.
01:38But if it's going to be a tight one, do you take Miami?
