00:00Caleb Williams, in particular, had some of the Ben Johnson elixir and looks fantastic.
00:05He threw 20 touchdowns last year, 489 yards, 3,500 passing yards, a mixed bag to say the least.
00:12But whatever we have watched in the preseason has taken the fantasy community by hold.
00:18All of a sudden, people are starting to believe that Ben Johnson can make miracles in Chicago.
00:25Are you of that belief?
00:26Boy, this is one of those lessons we're either going to learn the easy way or the hard way this draft season.
00:34I wonder this.
00:36So Williams is going as a low-end quarterback, one high-end quarterback, too.
00:40But I do wonder, next year at this time, he's in that top seven, top eight.
00:44You know, where he's a quarterback, one rushing yards, all the good offensive weapons he has here.
00:49I don't think the problem was Williams.
00:51It was that offensive line last year was putrid, Kirk.
00:53I mean, it was a jailbreak, a hut-hut, and then he's running for his life.
00:57There's no one's blocking anybody, you know.
00:59So I think that was a big part of the problem for the Bears here.
01:02And they've fixed that.
01:04Listen, it's not the best offensive line of football, but it's at least average to above average now.
01:09They knew where the weakness was, and they've gone on to fix that.
01:12You like the weapons they've added here.
01:14All right.
01:14So I kind of like where the Bears are headed here.
01:16I don't know if I – if I'm playing in a one-quarterback league and I drafted Williams,
01:21I do want to make sure I have another quarterback just in case I'm wrong.
01:25I have another decent quarterback here.
01:27So there is some caution here, but I kind of like where this team is headed.
01:31Yeah.
01:31So, look, I think it's definitely great to go over some of the preseason numbers
01:36and look at what they did to Buffalo and some other teams and definitely applaud that.
01:39But, I mean, there's a lot to unpack with this Chicago Bears history here.
01:45And for Ben Johnson to be able to come in and turn it around would be something.
01:48At running back, George, this is a rarity here.
01:51So DeAndre Swift is RB23, which essentially makes him one of the lowest RB1s in fantasy football this year, right?
02:00I mean, it has to be.
02:01He's RB23.
02:02So is there value in that?
02:04Obviously, Houston's guy, whoever that ends up being, is going to be lower than that.
02:08And there'll be other teams, too.
02:09Let's not get it twisted.
02:10The Giants, probably.
02:12But DeAndre Swift, is he an RB1 in fantasy?
02:15Roshon Johnson is there.
02:17We know that Ben Johnson has used two running backs in the past.
02:21We also know he had familiar with DeAndre Swift.
02:23We also know that I'm sure they asked him about DeAndre Swift when they traded DeAndre Swift, George, right?
02:28Like, I'm sure that they knew that when Ben Johnson was there.
02:31So I'm wondering how this Bears running back situation is going to pan out.
02:35I think when you draft Swift, he's not the sexy guy, right?
02:40He's not like, oh, wow, I got DeAndre Swift.
02:42But everything you said is true.
02:44Once again, no one's paying attention to him.
02:45You're worried about the passing game there and stopping those guys.
02:48So Swift's sort of an afterthought.
02:50Do I think he's going to be a top 10 running back at the end of the season?
02:53Probably not.
02:54But he is someone you can get later on, round five, round six.
02:57And he is an RB1.
02:58And yeah, Roshon Johnson is there.
03:00You said it.
03:00But there's a reason why the first-round running backs are the first-round running backs because, yeah, they don't have much competition, right?
03:05No one's going to be battling with Barkley or Robinson or McCaffrey.
03:09That's why they're the first-round guys.
03:10But most teams in the league are going through some kind of two-running-back system, just the way it is nowadays here.
03:15So, yeah, he's not sexy.
03:17But you don't have to spend early for him either.
03:19You know, so I kind of – I'm interested in Swift.
03:22Like I said, if you went wide receiver, wide receiver with your first two picks, well, then Swift is the guy you're going to be looking at in round three.
03:29You know, I don't mind doing that, by the way, especially, once again, in PPR leagues.
03:32Half-point PPR or standard, I probably want to make sure I do a little bit better at running back here.
03:38But in PPR, I don't mind going wide receiver, wide receiver than looking for a running back like Swift.
03:42Yeah, I don't know.
03:43I mean, round three seems like a reach to me with Swift.
03:47Swift, I'm thinking five, six, four.
03:50I don't think I'm going to get him in six.
03:52I don't think I'm going to get him in six.
03:53I just think if that's what you're down to in three, you should take the best tight end, or maybe that's when you take your quarterback.
03:58I feel like you could get him later.
04:00That's my opinion there.
04:02All right, wide receivers, real quick.
04:03DJ Moore, Roma Dunze, who they drafted, also Luther Burden.
04:07So they've upgraded the offense tremendously.
04:09This is all going to hinge on Caleb Williams, George.
04:11That's all there is to it.
04:13Agreed.
04:14Caleb lives on the offensive line.
04:15Again, we love DJ Moore.
04:17Dunze, he's going to take that next step here.
04:19And then you add Burden.
04:20It's almost a problem now, Greg, right?
04:22I mean, is there going to be no balls to make everyone happy?
04:24Probably not.
04:25And remember, this is a good defense.
04:27You know, this is not a bad defense.
04:28We're going to be throwing the ball all the time.
04:29They're not going to ask for Williams to drop back 40 times.
04:32So that's going to be a problem as well.
04:34And not too much.
04:34You've got two good tight ends in Loveland and Komet.
04:37All right, though.
04:37Loveland's clearly the guy I want there.
04:39You can get him later in your draft around round 10.
