00:00The Detroit Lions finally had to bid farewell to their great coach in Ben Johnson,
00:05who took the head coaching gig for the Chicago Bears.
00:08So now the Lions have John Morton running things, and we're going to find out.
00:13Was it Ben Johnson, or is it just the system and the players in place?
00:17Buy or sell, George.
00:18The Lions offense will have as much success under John Morton than they did last season under Ben Johnson.
00:26Buy or sell.
00:28A lot of brain drain there for the Lions, right?
00:32You lost Johnson.
00:33You lost Aaron Glenn.
00:34It's a lot to lose both their coordinators.
00:35The Eagles went through that a couple of years ago.
00:37So it's a lot to ask when you lose everybody.
00:40That being said, you got Jared Goff, Jameer Gibbs, Amon St. Brown, Jameson Williams.
00:46I mean, Sam LaPorta, one of the best offensive lines.
00:50Yeah, I buy this.
00:51I don't think you see that much of a drop off.
00:53Craig, maybe we don't see the fun plays they were doing, you know,
00:56the offensive lineman catching passes and stuff like that.
00:58And, you know, they're rubbing the stuff in.
01:01And when the game's out of hand here, they're just running plays that, oh,
01:03well, that was something we might do in the Sandlot, right?
01:05That sort of thing.
01:06But I'm buying this.
01:06I think the offense is going to be just as good.
01:09There's too many good players.
01:10And this is not a knock on Johnson, by the way.
01:12I think he got the most out of them.
01:14But I think it ain't broke.
01:15Don't fix it, Johnny.
01:16I'm going to say – I'm going to buy.
01:22I'm going to buy.
01:22I'm buying this.
01:23I think the Lions will flourish under John Morton.
01:27I think Ben Johnson has a chance to succeed also.
01:30But it's like diving into the system.
01:33And, you know, you think about all those New England years with the different personnel.
01:36And as long as the coach was there, as long as the quarterback was there.
01:40I mean, I got Dan Campbell there.
01:42I got Jared Goff there.
01:44I mean, coordinators came and went from New England left and right.
01:47They came back a couple of times, a couple of million times too.
01:50Lions will be fine.
01:51I'm going to say bye.
01:53Let's go now to the Minnesota Vikings.
01:55Justin Jefferson is going to catch balls this season from J.J. McCarthy.
01:59Remember last year with Sam Darnold.
02:01Justin Jefferson will experience the least productive season of his career because of J.J. McCarthy.
02:09Well, by number, his least productive season was 23, 68, 1,074, and 5.
02:19Granted, he only played 10 games, but the question doesn't say anything about full season.
02:23So if you go by those numbers, hey, got to be a little lawyer-ish here.
02:28If you go by those numbers, then no, this will not be his least productive season.
02:32I think he'll beat those numbers here.
02:34Do I think he's going to have an all, you know, oh, my God, the best season of his career?
02:37No, I think he'll pay off for you at number one.
02:41I just don't see the upside here with J.J. because we just don't know.
02:45The term quarterback-proof, well, if the quarterback can't get you the ball, then, you know, it doesn't matter.
02:50It doesn't matter how good a receiver you are.
02:52The quarterback has to be able to get you the ball.
02:53That being said, I do think McCarthy will – you know, let's face it.
02:56You're looking for J.J.
02:57You and I already discussed here.
02:59Addison's gone for a couple of games here.
03:00They totally have a number three feeling fine.
03:03You do have a nice tight end here.
03:04The running game could be solid here.
03:05Like I said, I don't think he'll have the least productive season of his career.
03:09If the question was how it should have been with the injuries, I might have said yes because then it would be 88, 14, 107.
03:17So then I might have said yes.
03:20I'm going to say sell.
03:25I think McCarthy's quarterback-proof – or excuse me.
03:28I think Jefferson is quarterback-proof.
03:32I don't think it matters who's back there.
03:34I think that if Jefferson played with Gardner Minshew, he'd still get 1,500 yards and 15 touchdowns.
03:40To me, he is outside of Chase, the very best receiver in the NFL, and I can make the case that he could be – with Joe Burrow, he may be better than Chase.
