She would be remembered by many as a solider in the Creative Industry who contributed selflessly to the arts and culture. The Black Collar Creative Foundation was launched to preserve the memory of Janine Charles-Farray who passed away in 2022.

Though no longer with us, the memory of Janine Charles-Furet

was honoured at the launch of the Black Collar Creative Foundation.

Her mother, Marva De Freitas Charles, a founding member of the foundation,

thanked the public for their support and spoke about the purpose of the foundation.

The foundation's objective is to assist creative sector entities

with their start-ups or special projects

and provide support to fully establish and sustain their ventures

in the spirit of entrepreneurship.
