Speaking of the Super 50, Trinidad and Tobago all-rounder Yannic Cariah believes Team Red Force has what it takes to beat Guyana Harpy Eagles in Wednesday's day/night semi-final in Tarouba.

However, he says T&T must continue to apply similar tactics to what they have been doing throughout the tournament, hence the reason for being unbeaten in the group stage.

00:00 Instead of being on the field practicing Trinidad and Tobago's cricketers had to
00:04 take part in physical activities indoors in Taruba because of the inclement
00:07 weather. They were finding ways to prepare for Wednesday's regional Super
00:11 50 semi-final against Guyana Harpy Eagles. All-rounder Yanni Carrier says TNT
00:16 have to play sensible cricket to get over the line.
00:19 I'm just first continue what we're doing. I think just keep trusting our processes and
00:24 playing situations in the game and just thinking clearly in those
00:28 situations and making the right decisions all the time. I think just from
00:31 the way we had to come out, I think everyone is humble,
00:34 everyone is taking it one step at a time, one ball at a time, one delivery at a time.
00:39 I think everyone is mentally ready for this game. There's no
00:43 overconfidence. We know how cricketers go and we respect the game.
00:46 I respect everyone that we play against. Carrier has utmost respect for the
00:50 opposition. So what must Team Red Force be wary of during the semi-final?
00:56 We just have to play our game. Once we play our game, understand the conditions,
00:59 back our skills in those conditions, we'll be fine. We just study what we need to do to come out on top.
01:04 Regarding the confidence levels of the players, Carrier says all the
01:08 members are raring to go with the hope of playing Saturday's final.
01:12 We are very confident and we're looking forward to the game. I think once the
01:16 weather holds up, it will be a very good game. We're up for the challenge and we'll be ready mentally.
01:20 The winner of the Guyana versus TNT encounter faces the winner of the
01:24 Barbados versus Leeward clash. Should TNT reach the final, it does not matter to
01:30 Carrier who the other opponent is for the weekend match.
01:33 First of all, we need to remember we have won two games and that's the most important thing.
01:37 Think about the game tomorrow and when the finalists come, we'll be ready.
01:41 TNT last won the regional Super 50 in 2021 with the beaten opponents being Guyana.
01:47 Vinod Naumani, TFS Export.
