00:00 For us in Tobago, we just completed our pre-planning session, our final pre-planning session.
00:07 We met with all the players who will be here.
00:10 This is our booth here in Tobago.
00:13 I mean, we did a fantastic job this year.
00:15 I think this is the largest booth Tobago has ever done.
00:19 And Tobago is here alone, but we are joined by a couple of partners from Trinidad.
00:24 Caribbean Airlines had co-experiences and Banwari Man.
00:28 The world travel market is also being attended by Councillor Tashio Boris,
00:33 Secretary of Tourism, Culture, Antiquities and Transportation,
00:38 Tobago Tourism Agency Limited personnel, as well as other Tobago tourism stakeholders.
00:45 Several hotels are here, which shows confidence in our sector bouncing back the way it should bounce back.
00:51 And Secretary Boris, Secretary of Tourism, Culture, Antiquities and Transportation,
00:57 she joins me. In fact, she's leading and I am supporting her in this effort this year, as I did last year.
01:05 So we met earlier. We planned all the strategy.
01:09 We went over and over again.
01:12 And as you can see all around, there is a lot of noise, a lot of activity, construction going on.
01:18 So proud that Tobago has been able to complete its work.
01:22 And we are in the Caribbean space, which is part of the larger Americas.
01:27 Our beautiful friends Barbados is right across from us.
01:32 And we see they they yellow and blue looking beautiful.
01:36 And of course, you must have Rihanna on the poster there.
01:39 Mr. Augustine said it is important for Tobago to make its presence felt, especially in the international market.
01:48 You will see during this week while we are here that we actually get to launch a new project.
01:55 Well, it's sequel of a project with National Geography magazine, which we did last year.
02:00 We have one of us coming on board again like we did last year.
02:04 And of course, I meet tomorrow morning with people like British Airways and so we can lock them in for another season.
02:13 Augustine announced that a new series is to be launched.
02:18 By the time we roll over into 2024, what we want to have happen is that we return to three COVID numbers of international visitors and surpass those numbers.
02:35 And we are already seeing an upward trend already this year's number of arrivals surpassing last year number of arrival.
02:44 Meantime, the office of the chief secretary says Deputy Chief Secretary Dr.
02:49 Faye Beasrel is performing the duties of chief secretary during Mr.
02:54 Augustine's absence.
