00:00So this is our last hurrah for encouraging other people to recognize the value that we need in Tobago
00:06for foreign direct investment, for private investment, and for the private sector taking this economy
00:13and really work in economics. The Prime Minister, in her wisdom, spoke to the fact that government has
00:18shown that they are not capable of running entities, and as she has called it, that it becomes dust.
00:27And we can't afford any more of that dust.
00:30Ms. Haddad was happy that the project was finally getting off the ground.
00:35Well, I have to tell you, fully elated. Finally, we have had the experiences of the pigeon point
00:44where we were supposed to have our four seasons, and instead of us inviting, we gave back money to the
00:50owners,
00:51and we rejected that.
00:53She congratulated Prime Minister Kamala Passat-Bissessa and Chief Secretary Farley Augustine
00:58on making this dream for Tobago a reality.
01:02And of course, I would have publicly said that we also treated sandals and their investment very poorly,
01:09and so we lost out on that. So strike one, strike two. And I want to really congratulate
01:14the Prime Minister and Mr. Augustine for allowing this to take place in terms of the support and whatever was
01:23needed
01:24to make sure that we didn't lose it three times. I think three times and you're out.
01:29Commenting on the opening of the new A&R Robinson International Airport Terminal.
01:34Well, Liz, you all will all know that that has been a fight that we have been going on for
01:39years.
01:39I still say I want to thank Dr. Rowley and his team for them laying that foundation.
01:45You know, I heard it referred to today as a shell, but no, it was more than a shell.
01:50And as we speak today, it is now to be operational. I hope it brings the best service,
01:57so it's important that we know what service is to the people passing through.
02:01On Tuesday, Chief Secretary Farley Augustine welcomed former Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley,
02:08PNM Tobago Council political leader Chamfer Cajol-Lewis,
02:11and PNM political leader Penelope Beckles at the opening of the terminal.
