00:00 (upbeat music)
00:02 - Let's just focus on fields for a minute, Joe,
00:04 because me and you have been doing this
00:06 for the last few days,
00:07 especially since they've started 0-2.
00:10 He hasn't looked good in either game.
00:13 And you know how I feel about it.
00:15 I feel kind of what he's saying
00:16 in his second press conference today,
00:18 that he should be playing better,
00:21 despite some of the things,
00:23 coaching, weapons, whatever.
00:25 I think that he could be a little bit better,
00:27 not turn the ball over as much.
00:29 Maybe have a little bit better completion percentage,
00:31 things like that.
00:32 You feel kind of more towards what he said
00:35 in the first press conference,
00:36 that coaching is in his head.
00:38 He maybe should be playing a little bit more fast and loose,
00:41 not as robotic,
00:42 doing things that make him
00:44 the better quarterback that he can be.
00:46 - Absolutely, and I said this in regards to Jalen Hurts,
00:49 and you look at his development
00:51 with A.J. Brown and Devante Smith,
00:53 you have to put weapons around them,
00:55 but they put Jalen Hurts in the exact same offense.
00:58 He was basically comfortable with,
01:00 in terms of his last stint at Oklahoma with Lincoln Riley.
01:04 That's what they have to do with Justin Fields.
01:06 Why they're forcing the square peg into the round hole,
01:10 putting them on their center,
01:11 making them run the football,
01:13 or that offense having a run-heavy mindset,
01:16 I just don't understand.
01:17 Put him in the exact same offense
01:19 that he was at Ohio State,
01:21 put five wide,
01:22 allow him to read and react.
01:24 That's the type of player that he is, Carver.
01:27 When football players start to think,
01:29 they get hesitant,
01:30 they make poor decisions,
01:32 and more times than not,
01:33 in terms of the quarterback perspective,
01:35 they throw turnovers.
01:37 Allow Justin Fields to cook, baby.
01:39 Just allow, turn him loose.
01:41 Could we turn him loose?
01:43 - Then Ibraflux wouldn't be able to run it, Joe.
01:48 Then he's not able to run it.
01:49 - Oh, stop it, Ibraflux.
01:50 - I wanna run it.
01:51 - I'll go through them all.
01:51 Pileciak, Braybill, Ibraflux,
01:55 Vic Fangio, Hackett, run first.
01:58 Run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run.
02:00 - Why?
02:01 - That's all they wanna do.
02:02 - Why win games 40 to 10
02:04 when you can lose 'em 17, 16?
02:07 - Yeah, seriously.
02:08 - Why do it?
02:08 - The Dr. Evil of the NFL.
02:09 Dr. Evil of the NFL.
