00:00 [MUSIC PLAYING]
00:02 FedExCup Playoffs now at the BMW Championship
00:06 just outside Chicago.
00:08 Olympia Fields is the site for the second leg of this FedExCup
00:12 Playoffs, Cam.
00:13 What do we need to know?
00:14 What are the keys to this course?
00:17 Get ready for a grind it out affair
00:20 here at Olympia Fields Country Club, the North course just
00:23 outside of Chicago, par 70, just a shade under 7,400 yards.
00:28 We're talking about 91 bunkers on this golf course,
00:31 bent grass greens with a po'a mix.
00:34 This course is very demanding off the tee.
00:38 You won't be hitting many fairways.
00:40 The average at the US Open, by the way, back in 2003,
00:43 as far as hitting fairways, 54%.
00:46 We actually got a similar number back in 2020
00:49 for the BMW Championship, by which John Rahm won.
00:53 That is a Rahm type of golf course, grind it out,
00:56 difficult affair, separates the weak from the strong,
01:00 if you will, from the driving perspective.
01:02 Seven of the top 12 finishers in that 2020 edition of the BMW
01:07 Championship were ranked inside the top 10 in strokes
01:10 gained off the tee bend.
01:12 Driver, driver, driver, otherwise,
01:14 if you are spraying it, what have you,
01:17 you are going to struggle on this golf course.
01:19 By the way, only five golfers were under par in 2020.
01:23 Usually, I am in on the approach game, birdie-making ability.
01:27 This week, I am keying in on the driver.
01:30 If you are just a little bit off here this week,
01:32 you are going to struggle.
01:33 And typically, Ben, in FedEx Cup playoff events,
01:36 the cream rises to the top.
01:37 I think that will be the case here this week.
01:39 It could be a chalky week.
