00:00Virginia Beach, 45 mile per hour wind gusts. We've got back up with monitoring winds in Nags Head
00:04at 45 miles per hour. So again, a smaller but mighty system here that is bringing strong wind,
00:12rain, coastal problems as well. And that's what we're going to be following through the day today.
00:17We take it into Virginia Beach, 2.31 inches of rain over the last 20, 48 hours is some of those
00:24rainfall totals I was talking about, the four to six inches around Rodanthea at times. And we'll
00:29also be tracking the rain back into Richmond at four tenths of an inch. All morning, we've been
00:35covering times of flash flooding. We've had heavy rain across Virginia. We'll continue to be tracking
00:40more rain into Richmond and the heavier rain conditions that continue after a brief break
00:46in Virginia Beach. There's more rain moving on through. So I do expect flash flood warnings to
00:50either be extended or additional areas that will be dealing with the flooding. South Jersey, nice to
00:56get the rain moving back on through. That eventually makes it to Philadelphia. It should be lighter, but
01:00we'll take any rain that we can get in parts of the northeast. Let's follow here the storm. You have
01:06the winds plotted with that as it just gets closer and closer to moving a little bit further inland,
01:12but does spend a good amount of time still over the water through the day today. Acura, there's been
01:17highlighting a low chance of tropical characteristics and development with this system. Regardless,
01:22we're talking about the wind, the rain, the coastal problems. Look at that. Still heavy rain tonight
01:27into tomorrow morning. I bet we come in tomorrow morning with a lot of flood reports and even still
01:31flash flood warnings that could be going on Wednesday. It will be windy. It will be cooler. It will be
01:36showery and wet with the rain back into South Jersey, Delaware and southeastern PA. Right now,
01:42our rainfall map here covers most of the mid-Atlantic into parts of the southeast with that four to eight
01:48inches of rain from Virginia Beach to Nags Head Ocean City, Maryland, close to one to two inches
01:53of rain and hits the rough surf. Not that this is a high time of a lot of beachgoers, but this can be
01:59very dangerous, life-threatening rip currents. If you were to head into the water gust along the coast,
02:04anywhere from 35 to 45 miles per hour and inundation at times of high tide could be one to two feet.
02:09price to be one to two inches of rain.
02:14And, for sure, any utility system would be a lot of water for rain and ill to be high
02:14with a little water gusts of rain. Okay?
02:19Yes.
02:19We'll come back here tomorrow tomorrow.
02:22Thank you very much.
02:23Thank you very much.
