It was a vibrant atmosphere, as the United National Congress held its final rally.. in San Fernando.. ahead of Monday's Local Government Elections.

00:30 Jack Warner told UNC supporters that they should vote on issues like unemployment, their
00:35 standard of living and moreover the spate of crime.
00:38 "Just two days ago we lost three persons to murder.
00:43 The murder rate is now 349.

00:51 You have to turn to Mrs. Posad Bisesa and the UNC.

00:56 Deputy Political Leader Dr. Rudal Munilal sought to lend credibility to an allegation
01:01 made by his party leader recently.
01:03 "Today we can confirm on this platform that a government minister, a government minister
01:10 who was in possession of an illegal firearm, an illegal weapon sought to return the weapon
01:21 to the police, to the armory at the barracks in St. James."
01:26 Dr. Munilal has called on the TTPS for a report into this alleged incident.
01:32 Opposition leader Kemal Posad Bisesa said a lot is happening to anger citizens.
01:36 "You are angry for being forced out of your homes by gangsters.
01:41 You are angry for seeing your children under self-imposed curfews.
01:46 You are angry for being extorted by criminals.
01:49 You are angry when criminals steal your crops.
01:53 You are angry when you can't get a job.
01:55 You are angry when your homes and streets are flooded.
01:59 You are angry that your mental health is destroyed.
02:04 And you are angry that criminals are invading your homes."
02:07 Bisesa referred to her election campaign as a wake-up call to people, and she urged them
02:12 to send a message on election day.

02:20 When you go to vote, release the anger in you, release the rage, bring out the Hulk

02:30 OWTU Pointerpear branch president Christopher Jackman, who brought along some of his comrades
02:35 for support, also spoke on the UNC's platform.
