San Fernando East Secondary has honoured one of T&T's cultural calypso and soca icons; Austin Lyons, better known by his stage name Super Blue.

00:13 was part of the atmosphere paying homage to cultural and musical icon Super Blue.

00:27 Students were beaming with excitement as some sort of seized the moment as a photo op with Super Blue
00:32 and with Moko Jambis as part of the composition, well, who could blame them?
00:37 Teacher at the school, Andy Motilal, gave details surrounding the tribute.
00:41 The tribute entailed a painting of a mural to Super Blue, a Old Mass tribute,
00:48 based on all his songs and a calypso and soca competition rendition of some of his greatest classics.
00:57 Super Blue later performed for the students, expressing his gratitude to them in song.
01:02 He serenaded the staff and students at San Fernando East Secondary for about 20 minutes
01:08 and it was thoroughly enjoyed by all parties.
01:12 Every year at San Fernando East we choose a cultural icon to honor. We have honored Junior Bissnat, Crazy, Scrunter.
01:22 This as the school hopes to instill a deeper sense of pride in the students
01:26 towards various aspects of their culture and history.
01:29 Days before the event, held in honor of Super Blue, the school hosted an Old Mass competition.
