00:46 We are trying to understand what their strengths are,
00:49 what they want to execute on the field.
00:52 And we are trying to work with them on those aspects.
00:55 What Mumbai has done all these years, we've groomed players.
01:00 We've given opportunity to all these players
01:02 to go out there and express.
01:03 And while doing that, they've come out
01:05 with flying colors, which in the end has helped them
01:09 and helped the Indian cricket team and certain other players
01:13 also where they've gone on to play for their national team.
01:17 And that is what here at MI we do.
01:19 We want to groom them.
01:21 We want to give them that opportunity
01:23 and express so that they can express themselves.
01:26 Unfortunately, the rule of IPL is such
01:28 that you have to only retain four players.
01:30 And if you look at our squad last year,
01:34 we've got so many quality players.
01:36 And it was always going to be hard for us
01:39 to leave out those players.
01:40 And we knew at the beginning as well,
01:43 before we retained four players, we
01:45 knew that this is going to be the tough retention that ever
01:49 Mumbai Indians will do because of the quality
01:52 that we had in the squad.
01:54 But I mean, it's the rule, right?
01:58 We can't help with that.
02:01 But again, we've got a new and fresh team here.
02:05 We will try and build these guys,
02:07 give them that opportunity as well like we've done in the past.
02:11 And let them be expressive more than anything else.
02:16 And we are here to support them.
02:18 We are here to back them and make sure
02:20 that they get the best out of themselves first and then
02:23 the team.
02:24 Because I truly believe that you give them the platform,
02:29 you lay the foundation for them.
02:30 And after that, it's up to the individual what
02:35 he does with that foundation.
02:37 So I think we've done that really well in the past.
02:40 And players have accepted that really well in the past.
02:43 So it's a new set of players that we have now.
02:46 And I hope they can replicate the same thing
02:49 as the other players have done in the past.
