Police in Jammu and Kashmir carried out extensive searches across the Valley following the blast near Delhi’s Red Fort, which killed 13 and injured several. Prior to the explosion, authorities had announced a series of arrests linked to the recovery of over 2,900 kilograms of explosives and several firearms across multiple states.  Among those arrested are Dr. Muzammil Shakeel, employed at Al-Falah University in Faridabad, and Ashiq Hussain Bhat, the brother of the alleged driver of the Hyundai i20 in which the blast occurred. Both are residents of the Koil area in Pulwama. Outlook spoke to their families following their detention.
