00:02 - What do you hope to see out of the US tomorrow
00:07 against Vietnam?
00:08 - Yeah, I think it's a bit of a feeling out period
00:12 and the schedule makers did the US a favor here
00:15 with this matchup, Vietnam,
00:17 not really a team that's expected to do much
00:19 in this tournament,
00:20 a team that's more of a happy to be here type situation,
00:22 making a World Cup appearance with a lot of their players
00:25 playing domestically in Vietnam
00:26 and not being at the same level as the United States,
00:29 United States laying six and a quarter goals,
00:31 if you're interested in betting the market,
00:32 they did win by 13 against Thailand
00:34 in their first match in 2019.
00:36 I don't think it'll be that high.
00:38 And one of the things to watch is kind of just
00:39 how Vladko Andonovsky manages the minutes here,
00:42 because they have a bunch of players
00:44 who are playing their way into form,
00:45 playing their way back from injury.
00:47 And so, you know, players like a Rose Lovell
00:50 and a Julia Ertz and a Megan Rapinoe,
00:52 what kind of minutes do they see off the bench
00:54 and how much of this is kind of just like a feeling out
00:56 period for the United States to figure out
00:58 what their best 11 is gonna look like
00:59 once they play the Dutch in their second match,
01:01 which will be a much stiffer test,
01:03 even though the United States will be favored
01:05 pretty solidly in all three group matches.
01:07 They will get tested, I think, in their next two matches.
01:09 So the first one is a bit of a warmup in a way
01:13 as they prepare for this, you know,
01:15 hopefully seven match endeavor for United States Fed.
