00:00Tip, how do you see the American Conference in two years?
00:04What's your vision of the conference in two years?
00:07Or maybe that's too long, and maybe it's only a year
00:10because of such change we see in college sports.
00:12What do you see for the future of American Conference?
00:16Yeah, you know, to use a football analogy,
00:18to some extent, being in a role like this at a time like this
00:22is like playing middle linebacker, right?
00:24Like, you have to have your head on a swivel.
00:25You're catching upside the head on any play.
00:27Like, it's just the way it is.
00:28You really have to see what's going on around you.
00:31And to some extent, like, I think every commissioner
00:33is playing a little bit of defense, right?
00:35There's litigation, there's lawsuits, there's legislation.
00:38People are having conversations in Washington.
00:40Like, the house settlement almost forced 10 or 20 years of work into one year.
00:47And, you know, certain things are still challenged to be able to work.
00:51But you have to maintain your sights on what your vision is.
00:55Otherwise, it's very hard to get people to buy in and get them convinced.
00:58We've got really good buying in our league right now, which is good.
01:01And the future, like, what I would like the industry
01:04to recognize the American as in the future
01:06is that was the most innovative conference of the last five years.
01:10Like, they took shots, took risks, did things differently,
01:12and led the industry into conversations
01:14that we were not willing to have before
01:16because it's just time to talk about change.
01:18So much, like, they just don't let them know.
01:18We'll see you next time.
